Dale Paul Lazar

     Upon completing his B.A. in Percussion Performance from Old Dominion University, Dale Lazar has continued his active career as a professional performer and educator in the Hampton Roads, VA area.  He is a teacher of drum set and orchestral percussion.  Mr. Lazar is well versed in many hand drums including tabla (North Indian) and studied under Kumar Das and Pandit Samir Chatterjee from Manhattan School of Music.  His current projects include Big Virginia Sky, Karl Werne and the Lazar Brothers, Kings of Ukulele, Mink and Cheef's Electric Band, Steve Thorne 3 jazz trio, and composing and performing with the Jen Stone and Megan Thompson Dance Project. In addition, he has performed with Virginia Symphony Orchestra, Symphonicity, Virginia Winds, and Norfolk Chamber Consort.  

     Mr. Lazar collaborates with the ODU Dance Department where he is the principal accompanist for Intermediate and Advanced Modern Dance classes.  Mr. Lazar has also accompanied for ACDFA and the annual high school dance festival hosted by Todd Rosenlieb Dance Academy.
